Troye Sivan is looking for love in all the right places — especially in his brand-new music video.
On Wednesday (Oct. 13), Sivan dropped his new video for “Angel Baby,” a tender love ballad that sees the singer embracing his saccharine side to sing to a partner about how much he adores them. The video follows that same thread, as Sivan travels across the world to find the perfect person who is “bringing me back to life,” as he sings on the track.
Directed by Luke Gilford, who previously worked with Sivan on his music video for “Heaven,” the video shows Sivan in a variety of different vignettes, each one featuring Sivan flirting with a variety of people. Whether he’s dressed in jeans and a thong on the back of a hunk’s motorcycle, or lying in bed with a dozen other partners, the video sees Sivan embracing exploration as he sings, “Started giving up on the word forever/ Until you gave up heaven so we could be together.”
In a post on Instagram, Sivan shared his thoughts on the video, touting Gilford’s work and praising the cast he worked with throughout the shoot. “This song and video are a celebration of love and queerness and tenderness and sex and fantasy,” he wrote. “Thanks to the whole team, the incredible cast, and of course to @lukegilford for bringing it to life. Hope you guys love it.”
The video comes just after Sivan made a head-turning appearance at Rihanna’s latest Savage x Fenty fashion show, where the star walked the runway clad in a set of sparkling boxer shorts. “As someone who struggled with my sexuality when I was younger and body image later in life, it’s so, so important,” he said of the experience. “It’s cool to get everyone together and feel really hot and feel really cool. Just to celebrate that humanity is really nice.”
