Camilo and Evaluna Montaner just added a new collaboration to their repertoire with the release of “Índigo” on Wednesday (Oct. 13), marking the couple’s third collaborative effort following “Por Primera Vez” and “Machu Picchu.”
Stepping away from pop-urban and sultry fusions, Camilo reeled in his wife, singer/actress Evaluna, for a sugary indie-alternative love song that gives us early 2000s vibes, à la Belanova or Julieta Venegas. In true Camilo and Evaluna fashion, the song is about having good luck in their dream-come-true relationship.
“Her smile is the thermometer that tells me if the song I’m writing is good or not,” the Colombian singer-songwriter previously told Billboard.
But before “Índigo” and way before their debut collab — which tells the couple’s heartfelt journey to marriage and documents the day they tied the knot in Miami — the two artists raked up quite the following on social media due to their joint covers such as “Te Soñe” and “La Gloria de Dios.”
Although they each lead successful careers, they also find ways to collaborate on other ventures, like starring in each other’s music videos, as seen on Evaluna’s “Uno Mas Uno” and Camilo’s “Vida de Rico.”
