Diamonds were definitely dancing at Cardi B’s latest birthday celebration — and so was everyone in attendance. The “Up” rapper turned 29 on Monday, and the stars came out for her dancehall-themed bash, with the guest list including musicians Lizzo, 2 Chainz, Chance the Rapper and more.
Husband Offset — one-third of Atlanta rap trio Migos — kicked off the festivities for the mother of his newly born son with a barrage of expensive gifts, including diamonds and furs, which he shared on his Instagram story. Among the many gifts was an Eliantte diamond cuban link chain styled with the iconic Playboy bunny logo as its centerpiece, with smaller bunnies surrounding the rest of the necklace.
Cardi definitely had this 29th birthday circled on her busy calendar: The Bronx rapper shared an Instagram post a day before about the party’s dancehall dress code, which included slides of different iconic dancehall looks from the past, encouraging attendees to show up dressed for the occasion.
Cardi then took to Twitter to reflect on Monday night’s celebrations, hilariously voicing disappointment about her dancing performance with friends like Megan Thee Stallion, Normani and Shenseea. Having just given birth to a baby boy in early September, no one can really blame Cardi for losing a step on the dance floor.
Above all the fancy gifts Offset showered birthday girl Cardi with last night, he kept the grand finale up his sleeve until the party, revealing that he bought his wife a secluded new home in her Dominican Republic homeland. The property boasts awe-inspiring features and includes six bedrooms and seven-and-a-half bathrooms, more than enough space for their now family of four. Cardi shared an intimate letter to Offset in response to his big gesture of love.
“For one, I’m so happy that you were actually really listening to me and not just smiling and nodding your head so I could stop talkin to you about it,” Cardi’s post caption reads. “I love that you asked my dad to work with you on this. You and my dad are the most important men in my life and it makes me so happy that you guys are close and have your own bond and relationship.”
