As we know the issue of homosexuality has been a great controversy over the years, due to the events that happen in society with the LGBT community where there are great comments against and in favor of it.

In the same way LGTB is nothing more than a community organized by people who are attracted to the same sex, and people who are dedicated to changing their gender ideology, that is, people who are born of one sex and change to the opposite and vice versa.

Now , when it comes to some content that is for all audiences , especially children and adolescents , and scenes or episodes of controversial topics such as homosexuality , inappropriate language , dress styles and other topics are present , society , in particular , Parents are forced to criticize and give their opinion about this subject that, according to them, can affect educational development and the variation of how society can live, that is, the appropriate pattern as the example to follow.

Despite many youths TV programs, worldwide television networks dedicated to children’s programming such as Disney, which is one of the best known and most watched television networks worldwide by children and adolescents due to the great children’s and youth content it presents. But in recent months, said TV network has been involved in major scandals due to content not suitable for its audience. As is the case with the most recent movie called: Lightyear released this year. The film is about the story of ‘Buzz Lightyear’, one of the main characters in Toy Story. In this one, the special guardian has to complete a mission with his companion.

Alisha Hawthorne. Arriving on another planet, they realize that they have been set up and the characters will have the objective of leaving the place safely.

This children’s film starring Chris Evans and other well-known actors, since it was released in theaters and other media, criticism has not stopped raining on social networks and digital media. All this due to a scene that lasts 3 to 4 seconds with the presence of two women giving each other a kiss.

Indeed, the film has been canceled and banned in 14 countries due to strong criticism, also because it does not meet the appropriate standards and values for children’s viewing. Countries such as Asia, including Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Malaysia. And, according to the Reuters news agency, it seems unlikely that the film will be released in China, the world’s largest film market.

However, many people see this scene as something normal that is lived in society today, such as same-sex couples, and therefore they give their opinion as valid and a message of support for said movie on the different networks as it was. Chris Evans himself, one of the protagonists, The American actor stated that it is normal for people to be afraid of seeing new social advances. It seems contradictory to me that they want to normalize homosexual and lesbian relationships in the cinema and that seems fine to me, but then when there is a scene like that they throw a mega party, then the simple fact that they put so much emphasis on it is not being normalized anymore, they are indirectly saying that It is not something normal and we have to celebrate it. The scene in Umbrella Academy was better worked and more standardized than in this movie.

“Human history is a story of constant social awakening. Of awakening and growth, and that is what makes us good. There will always be people who are afraid, are not aware and try to cling to what was before” commented the artist according to an article published in the newspaper “Tiempo”.

“There are people who have the brains for having something on their minds, they complain about a show of affection for two seconds and in many princess movies they do worse things with princes” comment made by a facebook user.

“It seems contradictory to me that they want to normalize homosexual and lesbian relationships in the cinema and it seems fine to me, but then when there is a scene like that they throw a mega party, then the simple fact that they place so much emphasis on it is not being normalized, they are indirectly saying that it is not something normal and it is necessary to celebrate it. The scene in Umbrella Academy was better worked and more normalized than in this movie,” commented a user on Facebook.

What we understand is that this is a never-ending issue since new conclusions will always come out and new signs will come, perhaps related to things that happen in society that many people still cannot accept and see in a normal way. But if you are someone who has children and wants to indulge them into watching this movie despite the criticism, be prepared to answer a lot of questions for your children about this scene.

Of course, it is already normal for adults to accept and know more about the LGBT community, but what do you think about including this in the fun that children see from home? Do they have to know from small? Or do you prefer that he is old enough to talk to you about it?

Tell us what do you think about this great controversy?
