SEVENTEEN are gearing up to release their ninth EP, Attacca, later this month on Oct. 22, and they’re giving their devoted fans a sneak preview of what they can expect the physical version of the record to look like before it arrives in the mail.
In a video uploaded to SEVENTEEN’s official YouTube page on Wednesday (Oct. 13), three versions of the album — red, blue and gray — are stripped of their contents to show the goodies buyers receive with the CD purchase. Each version of the release comes with a photo book featuring various snaps of SEVENTEEN’s 13 members, photo cards, posters and a lyric sheet that has the ability to convert into a box.
Attacca has a week left before its official release, but its already proving to be a success for the K-pop stars. When pre-orders for the EP were made available for purchase — which included the physical CDs in the new preview video — fans purchased 1.4 million copies globally. The new mini album is part of SEVENTEEN’s 2021 “Power of Love” project, which will seek to discuss the different types of love that one experiences throughout life. The group’s Your Choice EP, as well as members Wonwoo and Mingyu’s “Bittersweet” single, will also appear on the EP.
SEVENTEEN’s most recent offering, Your Choice, saw the group achieve their first No. 1 effort on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart. The mini-album sold a total of 20,500 copies in the U.S. during the week of June 24 and secured a No. 15 spot on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart following its release.
