Karol G, Reik, Rauw Alejandro, Jhay Cortez and Yuri, among many other Latin stars, are slated to perform during the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday, Sept. 23 — but who are you most excited to see?
Ahead of the annual awards ceremony, Billboard and Telemundo have announced a total of 23 performances, including Daddy Yankee — who will perform his new hit “Métele al Perreo” for the first time on television and will also receive the Hall of Fame award — Maná and Paquita la del Barrio, also set to take the stage to perform and be honored with a special accolade that night.
Other chart-topping artists performing at the University of Miami Watsco Center are Camila Cabello, Marc Anthony, Ana Bárbara, Carlos Rivera, Carlos Vives and Joss Favela.
The annual awards show will be broadcast live on Telemundo, kicking off at 7 p.m. ET with the traditional red carpet special, followed by the awards show at 8 p.m. The event will also be simulcast on Hispanic entertainment cable channel Universo and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean on Telemundo Internacional.
This year, Bad Bunny leads the list of finalists with 22 nods in 13 categories, including artist of the year, songwriter of the year, Hot Latin Songs artist of the year, top Latin rhythm album and top Latin album of the year — with three of his 2020 releases up for wins. Other top finalists include Maluma, J Balvin, Anuel AA and Black Eyed Peas. See the complete list of finalist here.
The awards will coincide with Billboard Latin Music Week, which returns to Miami from Sept. 20-25 and will host live conversations and performances with superstars like Karol G, Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam, Rauw Alejandro, Natti Natasha and many more.
